About Dr. Singh
Dr. Hukampartap Singh brings a lifelong passion for animals and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based veterinary medicine to every patient he sees at Alta Animal Hospital.
Growing up on a farm in India surrounded by animals, Dr. Singh developed an early love for animal care. Veterinary medicine runs in the family — with multiple family members holding veterinary degrees and a large poultry farm back home, caring for animals has always been a way of life.
Dr. Singh earned his veterinary degree from SKUAST (Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology) in India. After practicing for two years in India, he moved to the United States, where he obtained ECFVG certification from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) — a rigorous credential that ensures international veterinarians meet the same high standards as U.S.-trained DVMs.
With four years of clinical experience across two continents, Dr. Singh has developed expertise in general practice, urgent care, emergent soft tissue surgeries, and dental procedures. He is passionate about providing timely care — because when your pet is sick or in pain, waiting isn’t an option.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his wife, Haroop, and their rescue cat, Gus Gus. He loves exploring different cuisines, watching movies, and travelling to new places.
